Bravehearts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Sarasota, Florida. Our mission is to empower and uplift children under the age of 18 living in group homes, foster care, and those involved with the judicial system. We provide comprehensive social, educational, medical, and psychological support to foster resilience, promote well-being, and pave the way for a brighter future. We believe every child deserves a chance to thrive, regardless of their circumstances, and we are committed to being a steadfast ally in their journey towards healing and growth.

Ericka Mathews
Ericka Mathews has been a dedicated mentor for about 15 years, offering guidance and support to individuals on their personal and professional journeys. As a life coach, she empowers people to achieve their goals and overcome challenges. Ericka also serves as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for the best interests of children in legal proceedings. With 12 years of experience as a manager for Elms Cleaning Services, she has successfully run her business, providing part-time weekend employment opportunities for teenagers. Her commitment to mentorship and community involvement has made a significant impact in the lives of many.
CEO & Founder

Sonitra Gibson
Sonitra has been the church office receptionist at Word of God Love Center since 2006, managing phone calls, appointments, and guests. She attends council meetings to record minutes, coordinates the Church Events Calendar, and keeps administrative records. Sonitra informs staff of crises and opportunities within the community, maintains church and confidential files, and produces church publications. She also edits and publishes sermons and prepares news releases with the Senior Pastor and Church Moderator.

Pastor Fabian Gibson been preaching 31 years pastoring for 18 years. Specializing in marriage counseling, spiritual counseling, mental health counseling. Graduated from Love of God Seminary. Now reside as senior pastor of Word of God Love Center.

Celeste D Hedgespeth PhD, CSAYC
Dr Celeste D Hedgespeth, has worked with children with developmental disabilities, anger disturbances and suicidal ideation for more than 15 years, earning a PhD in clinical psychology and currently working in a psychiatric hospital on the dementia unit, assisting elderly patients who are not only dealing with dementia, but depression, aggressive behaviors, suicidal ideation and anxiety.
Serving this population is one of compassion and understanding, while continuing to treat each patient with dignity and respect. Celeste enjoys spending time with her husband of 29 years, her two children and seven grandchildren, she also loves attending church and was recently appointed assistant Pastor at True Prophetic Utterance Ministries, where she sings on the Praise Team and Armour Bearer the Senior Pastor. Celeste also enjoys traveling to different states and meeting people.

Rachelle Jones
Rachelle is the CEO of Ford Entertainment Magazine, which encompasses LadyChelle Projects, specializing in graphic design, printing, and book publishing. She is also the CEO of Kreyol Link Solutions, a Haitian translation service, and Techrizz Solutions, an app development company. Additionally, she serves as the Executive Director of the Newtown Entrepreneur Business Association (NEBA) and the Brave Hearts Foundation. She is the marketing manager for Excelsior Patrol Security Academy in Miami, FL, and the business manager for Shabazz Solutions. Rachelle is a married mother of four, continually striving to uplift and support independent talent.

Ratashia Mathews-Smith
Ratashia Mathews-Smith is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Galen University. Alongside her studies, she is a dedicated life coach, helping individuals navigate their personal and professional challenges. Additionally, Ratashia serves as a tutor, sharing her knowledge and expertise to support students in their academic endeavors.
